When we arrived at our room, it had a disabled shower in it. I had been looking forward to a bath, but we had hear at check-in the hotel was overbooked, so we didn't check back with the desk. On Sunday morning at breakfast my egg was not cooked enough for me, so it was sent back, my partner did not receive his breakfast at this time. My breafast came a few minutes later I waited a few minutes for his breakfast to arriveand he insisted I start mine. We asked 2 waiters about the breakfast then upon asking the Maitre'd about the breakfast, she in our presence asked the head waitress about the breakfast and was given a very "bad" look. I suppose there is a good reason for the staff problems, but this is a paying guest and "4" STAR should be better than this!!! We had stayed in Belfast because we were going to see Rod Stewart at the Odyssey. Nigel was going to drive home after the concert, but I thought it would be better to stay overnight for a break. This has put a good time into a bad time. I suppose a lot is to be learned from this but at anexpensive price. I did ask for a comment card at the check-out and was told none were available. On Monday morning I received a phone call from the Manageress and was told she would check into my complaint, if I was to book anything in the future to ask for her and she would take care of it.

As we were only staying for one night and taking in a show at the Odyssey we were not going to be dining out in the local vicinity. The close proximity to the Odysset was very good - in fact we were able to walk back from the arena to the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Park Avenue Hotel. This is our favorite Hotel. The food is excellant and delivered with a nice smile and a little chat.We look forward to our next visit.

Top Tip
A visit to Bangor is worthwhile and the Marina Hotel is a pleasant stop for a meal, food great.

Excellent location for visiting our family. Near to the City Airport (George Best) and Stormont.

Takes 10 minutes by taxi into the city centre, fare about £7.50

Although it was marked on our hotel voucher that the guests were checking in early we were not allowed to and had to wait until 2.30pm to be checked in. As we were only there for 1 night and there was lots to do in the end we had to leave our bag at reception and go back at a later time to check in, this is not ideal.
