Traveller from Ellesmere Port stayed in June,2008

The hotel was within easy walk of city centre, pubs and restaurants. The hotel staff were pleasant and attentive. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate. The room we had was clean, tidy and well equipped. We were very concerned about the safety of our car, parked in the public carpark used by the hotel, as part of it seemed to be being used to store wooden pallets and planks of wood, these were being "attended to" all day by a number of youths and throughout the night, also creating some noise by throwing, moving, banging of these materials day and night. The hotel room was quite stuffy, and, because of the above we had to have the windows closed, which didn't help. The layout of the breakfast area, restaurant and bar were not very inviting, these areas were on the open-plan ground floor with the reception area, and you also walk though these areas to get to the lifts and rooms. It's not a hotel I would choose again.
